The Activity Log is a feature in your Ontop account that keeps a complete record of all sensitive actions of account users. It was designed to increase the traceability of critical actions performed by your account users in your company's workspace. This way, you will have real-time visibility and greater security about who makes changes, when they make them, and what exactly they have modified.
How to use the Activity Log
To access the Activity Log , navigate to Settings and select Users & Permissions . The Activity Log will appear as a new tab, showing a chronological list of all recent events.
Key data points
For each event, the Activity Log captures the following data points to provide the details complete:
- User name: The person who executed the action.
- User role: The role that he had user at the exact moment in which he performed the action.
- User email: The email of the user who executed the change.
- Activity: The category of the action (e.g. Contract , User , Payment ).
- Details: The precise description of what the user did.
Timestamp: The exact moment it happened. All data is displayed on time UTC to ensure accuracy.
Currently Registered Events
In this first version, the Activity Log will record the following 10 critical events, categorized by functional area:
Contracts
- Creation of a contract.
- Signing of a contract.
- Change of the end date of a contract.
Users and Workspace
- Invitation or re-invitation of a user to workspace .
- Removal of a user asset of workspace .
- Canceling an invitation user to workspace .
Payments and Transactions
- Start of a transaction .
- Creation of a payment list .
- Adding a payment method .
- Change of main payment method .
How to search and filter
The Activity Log includes a search bar and three filters to help you quickly find the specific information you need. You can:
- Search by keywords, such as a user's name or a specific action type.
- Filter results by a specific user, action type, or a custom date range.
Use these search tools to focus on specific events, a date range, or a specific user.
