1. What is the onboarding stepper?
The onboarding stepper is a feature in your dashboard that guides you through five key steps to complete onboarding and successfully make your first payroll payment.
2. Who can see the onboarding stepper?
The stepper is only visible to clients, immediately after completing the basic KYB process.
3. Where can I find the onboarding stepper?
You will find it in the Dashboard section, right after the welcome screen.
4. When does the onboarding stepper disappear?
The stepper will disappear as soon as you attempt your first payroll payment, even if the payment fails.
5. What steps are included in the onboarding stepper?
The stepper includes the following steps:
- Complete profile verification (KYB): Verify your account.
- Add workers: Add at least one active worker (drafts do not count).
- Configure and pay membership: Set up your membership and make the payment.
- Set up your payment method: Choose and configure your preferred payment method.
- Set up a paylist and pay workers: Create a paylist and make your first payroll payment.
6. What happens if I don't complete a step on time? (Available in January)
Each step has a recommended completion date to ensure you're ready for your first payroll. If a step is delayed, a yellow warning icon and a red action button will appear to prompt you.
7. Can I skip a step?
No, you must complete all steps in order. Each step is essential for a smooth onboarding process.
8. How do I know if a step is completed?
The stepper updates in real-time:
- Incomplete steps will be marked in gray (Not started).
- Steps in progress will show a blue or yellow status, depending on the required action.
- Completed steps will be marked in green to indicate they are finished.
9. Can I change the date of my first payroll?
Yes! You can:
- Choose a custom date: Any date between today and three months from now.
- Use the contract-based date: The system will automatically select the closest date based on active contracts (drafts are not considered).
10. What happens if I miss the recommended date for a step?
You can still complete the step, but it's important to act quickly to avoid delays in your payroll.
11. What happens in each step?
Here’s what you need to do for each one:
- Complete profile verification:
- Submit your KYB documents.
- Status options:
- Action required (yellow): Documents must be submitted.
- In review (blue): KYB is under review.
- Profile verified (green): Step completed.
- Add workers:
- Add at least one active worker via the New Hire flow. Drafts do not count.
- Status options:
- Not started (gray): No workers added.
- Draft (gray): Draft contracts but not completed.
- Pending (blue): Contracts pending start dates.
- Worker added (green): At least one contract is active.
- Configure and pay membership:
- Choose a membership plan and make the payment.
- Status options:
- Not started (gray): No configuration started.
- Pending (blue): Membership configured but unpaid.
- Paid (green): Membership active and paid.
- Set up your payment method:
- Select and configure your preferred payment method.
- Status options:
- Not started (gray): No payment method configured.
- Setup in progress (blue): Payment method initiated.
- Payment method ready (green): Method active and verified.
- Set up a paylist and pay workers:
- Create a paylist with at least one worker and initiate the payroll.
- Status options:
- Not started (gray): No paylist created.
- Paylist created (blue): List created but not paid.
- Payment sent (green): First payroll completed.
