❓ Frequently Asked Questions
1. How is contract activation time measured?
We define contract activation time as the number of days it takes for a contract to be fully signed by all parties (you and your contractor) after it has been created on the platform.
Example: If you create a contract on January 1, 2025, and it is signed by both parties on January 10, 2025, then the contract activation time is 9 days.
Understanding this metric helps you:
- Identify potential bottlenecks in your onboarding process.
- Monitor how efficiently your team manages hiring and contract approvals.
- Improve time-to-productivity for new workers.
2. How is average contract tenure calculated?
Average contract tenure shows the typical duration your workers stay under contract with your company.
We calculate this by summing the total number of months that contracts have been active and dividing that by the number of contracts.
Example:
- One contract active from January 1 to March 31, 2025 (3 months)
- Another contract that started on January 1 and is still active (5 months)
That’s 8 total months across 2 contracts, giving you an average contract tenure of 4 months.
Why it matters:
- It provides insight into your contractor retention.
- It helps evaluate the long-term value of your workforce.
3. Why can’t I see financial data for my team?
To protect worker privacy, we apply a minimum usage threshold before displaying financial product insights (Ontop Wallet, Card, and Subscriptions).
If your team does not meet this threshold, certain data will remain hidden.
To unlock these insights, your company must have:
- At least 3 workers with an active Ontop Wallet, Ontop Card, or Wanderlust Subscription Plan.
This ensures:
- Data is aggregated and anonymized to protect individual usage.
- Insights are meaningful and statistically relevant.
If you're below the threshold, consider encouraging workers to explore Ontop’s financial perks — they’re designed to improve retention and worker satisfaction.
4. What’s coming by the end of June?
We’re expanding the capabilities of the Workforce Insights dashboard to make it even more interactive and insightful. Here’s what’s planned:
- Enhanced Reminders: Smarter redirections that take you directly to the relevant action or contract in My Workforce.
- Time-Based Filters: Analyze your workforce metrics across different time periods and track trends (e.g., contract growth, changes in financial product adoption).
- Map Interactivity: Hover over countries in the Global Workforce map to reveal the exact number of workers in each location.
- Data report: Download Workforce Insights as a CSV file with a simple click.
