Which governing laws and jurisdiction apply? All contracts and disputes are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Can an independent contractor be an individual? Yes, an independent contractor can be either an individual or a legal entity. However, having a legal entity provides higher protection, so it's the recommended option.

What documents might be required when signing a contract? This depends on the country. Generally, documents are requested to verify your identity and tax compliance. The most common are: identification documents or passport, and tax identification number. For users in the U.S., tax forms such as W9, W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, and 1099 may also be requested.
Contract Termination

Do I need to be notified when my contract is terminated? With Ontop, the notice period for contract termination depends on your contract type:
- Ontop Sign Contracts: If the termination is without cause, you must give at least 15 days' notice. The notification will be sent to you automatically.
- You Sign Contracts: These are custom contracts, and the notice period may vary, but they must be closed from within the platform.
- Contractor Pro Contracts: No notice period is required, as you will be notified automatically of the termination.
