If you reside in Colombia, you'll find relevant information about your social security documents here. We want the process to be as clear as possible for you.
What is social security?
Social security is the coverage for every worker against risks of altered health, work disability, old age, and death. In Colombia, the main systems are Health, Pensions, Work-Related Risks, and Family Subsidies.
If you are a contractor, it is only mandatory to pay contributions for Health and Pension. Contributions to ARL (Work-Related Risks) and Caja de Compensación (Family Subsidies) are optional.
What is it for?
When you work under an Independent Contractor Agreement, you are responsible for making your social security payments. However, it is our duty as the contractor to verify that you are making these contributions on a continuous basis.
What do we do with your information?
We ask for your contribution certificate only to confirm that you are making your payments regularly. This helps us ensure that you have protection against health and old-age risks.
