Card Basics and Functionality
The Ontop Card is designed to provide seamless access to your funds without the complexity of traditional banking.
Unified Balance: Your Wallet and Card share the same balance. There is no need to "top up" or move money around; your funds are available instantly, no need to go to Card Details to see the available balance.
Card Type: It functions like a debit card linked to your balance. You can only spend what you have, ensuring no debt or unexpected credit bills.
Virtual Card: Ideal for online subscriptions and e-commerce.
Physical Card: Used for in-store purchases and ATM withdrawals worldwide.
External Wallets: Currently, the Ontop Card cannot be added to external digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.
Account Termination: If your contract with Ontop ends, your card remains active so you can continue to spend your remaining balance.
Global Usage and Travel
You can use your physical Ontop Card worldwide without prior notification.
Exchange Rates: Visa calculates exchange rates in real-time.
International Fees: A 0.8% fee is applied by Visa to international transactions.
Rate Tracking: You can verify current rates at any time using the Visa Exchange Rate Calculator.
Security Codes and Authorization
PIN (4 digits): Required for physical store transactions and ATM withdrawals. You set this code yourself when activating your physical card.
Fixed CVV (3 digits): It is a code used for online security. It is located in the "Card details" option in the app.
Dynamic Token (6 digits): Your "Master Key" for authorizing account changes, indicated by the shield icon (🛡️).
Transaction and ATM Limits
Limits are in place to ensure both security and spending flexibility:
Purchase Limit: Up to $4,500 USD per transaction.
ATM Limit: Up to $1,000 USD per withdrawal, with a maximum daily limit of $2,000 USD.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Rejected Purchase with a Charge: This is usually a temporary hold. The funds typically return to your balance within 5–7 business days.
Negative Balance: This may occur if a merchant confirms a transaction late. Please contact the merchant directly if this happens.
Missing Card Details: If details do not appear, try logging out and back in, or ensure your Dynamic Token is correctly configured.
How to Order Your Physical Card
You can request a physical card exclusively through the Ontop mobile app:
Request in App: Tap the "Order Card" banner on your main dashboard.
Confirm Address: Verify your shipping details carefully to avoid delays.

Note on Restricted Regions: Due to local regulations, we do not ship physical cards or offer virtual cards in certain countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Venezuela, Russia, and Belarus, Israel, Turkey, among others.
