Before thinking about deleting your account, there's something important to know: you don't have to. Your Ontop account is personal and independent of any company or contract. Ending a job doesn't change that.
What do I keep if I hold onto my account?
Everything you already had:
- Your Global Account and USD balance
- Your Ontop Platinum Card, physical and digital, for any purchase
- Access to withdrawals and transfers whenever you want
- Transfers between Ontop accounts and bill payments
- Future Fund
- The ability to link a new company without starting from scratch
Your account is already set up and ready. No need to start over.
Is there any cost to keep it?
No. Keeping your account is free.
There is an inactivity fee of $10 USD charged every two months, but only if all three of these conditions are met at the same time:
- You have no active contracts
- You have a balance in your Global Account
- You haven't made any transactions in two consecutive months
If any one of those conditions isn't met, nothing is charged.
What if my balance is $0?
No fee is charged. No balance, no charge.
How do I easily avoid the fee?
Make any simple transaction every two months:
- Buy something with your Ontop Platinum Card
- Withdraw money
- Pay a bill
- Send a transfer
- Use Future Fund to earn up to 3% APY
Any transaction counts.
Starting with a new company?
You can link them to your current account. No paperwork, no new accounts, no lost history.
