🧩 1. Understand your Global Account
What is your Global Account?
Your Global Account is your account in Ontop.
It’s an ecosystem that lets you manage your money in different ways, all in one place.
Within your Global Account, you can have up to three types of accounts (or sub-accounts), depending on how you use Ontop:
💼 Payroll Account: This is where you receive payments if your company pays you through Ontop.
🌐 Personal Account (USDc)*: This is a digital dollar (USDc) account that you can use to store, move, or receive money on your own.
🪙 Future Fund: A dedicated space within your Global Account to set money aside and keep it separate for your own goals, while getting rewards for it.
👉 You can have:
- Only a Payroll Account
- Only a Personal Account (USDc)
- Or both
- Or complement your Payroll of them with Future Fund
It all depends on how you use Ontop.
💡 For example:
If your company pays you through Ontop, you’ll have a Payroll Account.
If you want more flexibility, you can also open a Personal Account.
And if you don’t receive payments through Ontop, you can still use your Personal Account independently by using Ontop Pay.

Because it lets you:
- Manage your money based on your needs (Payroll, Personal, or both)
- Receive money from anywhere in the world
- Move money quickly and seamlessly
- Keep full control in one place
💸 2. How to use your money
What is USDc?
USDc is not a physical dollar. It’s a digital asset known as a stablecoin.
Its value is pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, making it stable and useful for fast, global transactions.
How does your Personal Account (USDc) work?
Your Personal Account is one of the ways you can use your Global Account.
If you already have a Payroll Account, you can move your money to your Personal Account in seconds:
- Go to your Payroll Account
- Transfer to your Personal Account (USDc)
- Use it, move it, or send it however you want
⚠️ Important:
Once you move funds to your Personal Account (USDc), you cannot move them back to your Payroll Account.
How can I receive money?
If you have a Personal Account (USDc), you can receive money via:
- Crypto (USDc): instant
- Bank transfer (ACH / Wire): ~1 business day
- International wire: up to 5 business days
💸 Fee: 3 USDc per deposit
💡 Example:
If you receive 100 USDc → you’ll get 97 USDc after fees
How to add money?
- Go to your Wallet and click the “Add Money” button.
- Choose how you want to add funds by selecting one of the options.
- Select your preferred pay-in method. After you click it, you’ll see your Personal USDc crypto or bank transfer account details, which you can share with your external account or friends.
- Want to receive money from a company? Try Ontop Pay by clicking Request Payment.
How do payouts work?
You can:
- Choose which account to send from (Payroll or Personal)
- Select your preferred payout method
- While you're requesting a quote, if you have a payroll account, you can switch the source of funds using the dropdown.
Options include:
- Bank accounts
- Crypto wallets
- Transfer to debit card
- Platforms like Payoneer, Zinli, or Astropay
⏱️ Timing: instant or up to 5 business days
💡 From USDc: conversion is handled 1:1 (USDc = USD)
💳 Card: pay with your balance
Your card can use the balance from your Global Account:
- USD (Payroll Account)
- USDc (Personal Account)
You can switch currencies anytime in Card settings → Card currencies. Make sure you have enough balance in the selected account to avoid transaction declines.

- Pay online
- Pay in physical stores
- Use your available balance
- Track your transactions in real time
🔁 Which balance is used?
In Card currencies, you can choose:
- USD
- USDc
What changes when paying with USDc?
Only the base currency changes.
Everything else works the same: payments, merchants, and Visa network.
Can I withdraw cash from an ATM?
Yes! ATM withdrawals will now be available when the card is using USDc balance too.
What if I already have a card?
You can keep using the same card.
Just select your preferred balance in settings.

Do I need to keep my money for a minimum time?
No. You can use it whenever you want.
Can I track my transactions?
Yes, directly in the app at any time.
Where is Global Account available?
Not in all countries (yet).
