We are excited to announce a revamp of our services. As part of this upgrade, the Contractor Pro Agreement will now replace and terminate your existing independent contractor agreement with your client. To make things easier for you, we've compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
1. What changes in my agreement?
Your Contractor Pro Agreement is signed by Ontop, your client, and
yourself. It does not change the scope of your services, compensation, or payment terms. This innovative tri-party agreement will replace and terminate your current contract with the client. By consolidating all legal obligations into one easy-to-manage contract, we will simplify compliance and
reduce risk. Ontop takes an active role in this arrangement, enhancing oversight, coordination, and communication to ensure better enforceability and streamlined operations.
2. Does it affect or change my current conditions, compensation, and my way of working?
Your current obligations, compensation, or payment remain the same. You will continue providing services as a contractor.
✅ Your delivery of agreed-upon services is the same.
✅ Your payment amount and pay date are unchanged.
✅ The currency that you are paid in is the same.
✅ You’ll continue to enjoy benefits like the Ontop Wallet in USD, Ontop Card, worldwide transfers, crypto payments, and more, provided when they are available in your country.
3. How do I sign the new agreement?
You will receive an email instructing you to visit the Ontop Platform to review and accept the agreement between the client, Ontop, and yourself.
- Visit: https://www.getontop.com/
- Enter your actual username and password
- After logging in, you will see a pop-up modal.
- Review your new agreement
- Click "Confirm" & Sign Your new contract.
4. What am I responsible for by signing my new agreement?
As a contractor, you are responsible for delivering agreed-upon services to the client and complying with applicable laws.
5. Does this affect the seniority of my agreement with my client?
Once you sign the new agreement, your effective start date in the Ontop Platform will be the date of signature.
As a contractor, your relationship with your client is based on the terms of your agreement (rather than on employment tenure). Unlike employees who accrue benefits and seniority over time, your work as an independent contractor is defined by the specific terms in your agreement and the project durations agreed upon with your client. Therefore, updates to the contract do not affect your length of service with the client.
6. Who do I contact for support?
For any questions, help, or support with reviewing and signing your new agreement, please feel free to contact your client or Ontop’s support team.
If you have further questions,
feel free to contact our support team via chat OR
your dedicated Account Manager if you have one 😊
